I want to learn German. Can you recommend a good home study course that will teach me to speak proper German?
I’m of German descent and would like to learn the language of my heritage. And besides, I’m looking for a new hobby. My main concern is that I want a course that teaches me to speak it correctly, I’m not interested in speaking just "converstational" German, I don’t want to sound uneducated (I have relatives who still speak German both here and in Europe but up to now I’ve only been able to speak with them in English). I want a course that teaches me to speak the language well if I’m willing to put in enough time — I’m willing to work on this for an hour a day for the next year or so … longer if that’s what it takes.
rocket german is a very good course to learn german.

Is German I a difficult course?
I am currently enrolled in German I at my college. We start classes next week and I may need to change my schedule if German is too hard. My class load is pretty heavy this semester, so I need something that won’t be overly time-intensive. I was just wondering if it is a difficult language to learn? I am usually good at learning languages, but I’ve never really heard anything about German being hard or easy. If you could help me, I would appreciate it! Thanks!
If you’ve ever learned languages like Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Icelandic, or Faroese the languages are similar in a way like Spanish and French are similar. Learning a language is never easy and requires a passion for it to be "easy."
I find it is very easy to learning a language if you put yourself right in the center. Now, yeah you won’t be in Germany as you learn. But you can probably find TV shows in German on YouTube or something similar. Perhaps pick or look up online a German band in your favorite style of music. A language is easy if you keep listening, reading, and speaking out of the classroom.
I hope you have a good time and always recommend for people to take languages since that’s my passion. German can be an easier language than some languages like Mandarin or other Asian languages not only do you have to memorize how to say but learn a few thousand characters or like Korean where you have to learn a new alphabet.

I really want to go to the German-language course of Goethe for 18-20 years old in Berlin.Have you been there?
How many participants were you? Was it really that nice? Are you allowed to do absolutely anything ? What did you do during the day? How was it in general? ![]()
Binie is correct here the Goethe institute is well known and has excellent courses.

The Language Situation scenes are supposed to complement any regular language course by providing a sort of language “street experience”.
You can see “real” people talking their “real” language. They are all quite taken by surprise in this unusual situation (somebody asking silly questions) and they react very spontaneously.

"Erweiternde Lebensrettende Sofortmaßnahmen"
Some parts of this like giving medication and intubation without relaxants are things only a doctor can make.
But in case of emergency or delegation occupational health nurses, emergency medical technicians and paramedics can realize it too.
