Was there a decision made by scientists involved in German nuclear research not to give Hitler an atomic bomb?
If the Germans had had an operation nuclear device, they could have popped it into their V2 rockets and God knows what would have happened!
There was no real conspiracy by German scientists to delay nuclear projects.
The combination of the allied programs in the Manhattan Project simply out ran the German efforts because the Allies gave the project far greater priority than did the german war machine.
By the time even the Allied program was ready, Germany was crushed by conventional means.
Need Level 3 German Course For UCSD Credit!!!?
I just finished up at UCSD and I’ve moved back to the LA area and I just need to take German 3 to finish up my degree. I’ve been having a hard time finding a comparable course at a city college in the LA county and Ventura county system. I’ve looked on assist.com but any place that is said to have it says they don’t when I call them. Does anyone know where I can find a level 3 German class at a community college in the LA or Ventura county system?
I’m going to be of no help probably, but goodluck with this. I had to finish up some classes for my degree too (at UCSC) and it basically wasn’t offered anywhere else (especially when I checked the Assist website). BUT you can take it at another UC and have it transfer over..so if you are close to UCLA, you could take it during the summer session if UCSD accepts it. That’s how Santa Cruz is at least. Hope this helped a little
Is it compulsory to be knowing German language,to get into German universities?
I have been through many German university websites. Many universities look for German language proficiency proof for foreign students.I want to know the universities where German language proficiency is not mandatory.
I have plans to do Ms in Germany.
I believe it is compulsory to show that you are proficient in the german language before you get into any universities there.
It makes sense. Why would an American university want to take on a student who spoke only Irish Gaelic? Why would a Chinese university want to take on a student who only spoke Afrikaans and Frisian? Why would a German university want to take on a student who only speaks English?
How can I add German Umlauts and special characters to my computer?
I am not after any german lessons, I speak and write the language very wellI. I would just like to be able to use those characters when contacting my German friends. Is there a site where could download just those few typically German letters?
Go to "Start" – All Programs – Accessories – System Tools – Character Map – send a shortcut to your desktop. You’ll find all typically German and many other characters.
Where can I learn German free and effectively?
I have always wanted to learn the german language but I don’t wanna pay to learn it and I don’t want it to take forever. Where can I go to learn it for free and effectively?
Looking a nice video in both languages and ask questions about the foreign language on Yahoo Answers.
If you want to get such videos with both languages, I can send you some links per email. I do not post them here. Email me, if you are interested.
